About

The annual Acadia Birding Festival brings together expert birding guides from across North America to lead field trips on Mount Desert Island. Founded in 1997 as the Warblers and Wildflowers Festival by ornithologist Michael Good, this premier Maine birding event (renamed Acadia Birding Festival in 2008) features early morning warbler walks, pelagic trips to see puffins and seabirds, Peregrine Falcon viewing at active nest sites, lectures, and connections with local birding experts. Hosted in partnership with Wildside Nature Tours and other leading birding organizations.

The Acadia Birding Festival was phenomenal! Expert guides from around the country led fantastic field trips. The warbler walks at dawn were magical, and the pelagic trip to see puffins was a highlight. Great organization and wonderful community of birders.
