Nature Forward (formerly Audubon Naturalist Society) is the oldest independent environmental organization in the Greater Washington DC region. Founded in 1897, they offer over 120 nature classes, field trips, and birding tours annually throughout Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Their expert naturalists lead comprehensive birding experiences for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced birders, exploring the region's diverse habitats including urban parks, wetlands, and the Chesapeake Bay.
